To give you the history of how TMA was founded, let me give you some background on myself and how the company came to be. I have always worked in the banking / mortgage industry since graduating from college. Several years ago, when I had my own personnel recruitment firm specializing in the placement of banking and mortgage professionals, two of my long time clients approached me with the idea of opening a mortgage company with them.
I hadn’t been thinking about leaving the personnel recruitment field, but the idea was intriguing. I began to seriously consider the advantages of getting back into lending and what it would mean to be in a partnership situation, having already been both an employee and my own boss. I quickly came to realize that I did and still do feel very strongly about how I believe a company should run and how it should serve its clients. I knew that I could provide excellent service with my many years of banking experience and my desire to help people. The more consideration I gave this idea the more I knew the mortgage broker opportunity would be a perfect fit given my background and business philosophy. But I also came to know for sure that it needed to be my own business, my own way. Once the decision was made to open my own mortgage broker firm, I never looked back.
Since opening TMA, I know I’ve made the right decision. TMA is built on my philosophy of providing honest personalized service, where we work with each client individually to educate and guide them through the mortgage process. We accomplish this by understanding their circumstances and establishing their goal. We then use our experience and knowledge to find the right mortgage program. Once determined, the mortgage process is broken down into manageable steps that ultimately lead to the accomplishment of their goal. Our knowledge, expertise and reputation are what separate us from the others.
Why is it so important for me to differentiate TMA from the others? Because each client is unique. Other mortgage brokers try to fit the process to the client. We know that because each client is unique it is our responsibility to find the ideal way to bring that client through the process. It’s our ability to read our clients, to understand their circumstances and together find a solution, which makes TMA the better choice.
